Maximaphily is NOT new. Philatelists had been involved in the creation of maximum cards as early as the last turn of the century. No name was given to the kind of philatelic cards they were creating out of fun and interest. The cards are named Maximum cards as now. The collecting interest is picking up tremendously in the recent years in the mainland China, it is expected the hobby of maximaphily will soon spread to the world . Traditional philately collectors somehow do NOT like to get themselves involved in the collecting of maximum cards, however, as the hobby of collecting stamps is fading gradually in many parts of the world, I can see a limelight in Maximaphily of stiring up the interest of the many young and old to the hobby of collecting stamps. Maximum cards are beautiful collectibles which are easily appreciable by many whom are NON collectors . Maximaphily is the only category of philately which allows one to create his own philatelic items which are made in accordance to a set of philatelic rules.
